1Overview
At Guyana Matrimony, all payments for subscriptions, premium services, Verified Badge, and other charges are final, non-transferable, and non-refundable, except where expressly mandated by applicable law. We strive to provide excellent service, but cancellations do not entitle users to refunds unless required by consumer protection laws in India.
2Cancellation Eligibility
Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through your account settings, but cancellation does not result in a refund of any prepaid amounts. Access to services will continue until the end of the current billing period. Automatic renewals can be disabled prior to the renewal date to prevent future charges.
3No Refund Policy
In line with our Terms & Conditions, Guyana Matrimony does not offer refunds for any payments made, including but not limited to subscription fees, Verified Badge charges (₹199/-), or premium features. This applies regardless of usage or duration of the subscription.
Exceptions are made only where refunds are mandated by applicable laws, such as the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or in cases of proven billing errors.
4Legally Mandated Refunds
If a refund is required under Indian law (e.g., for services not rendered or defective services), eligible users may request a refund within the statutory timelines. The refund amount will be limited to the pro-rata unused portion of the subscription fee, excluding any applicable taxes or processing fees, as determined by law.
Guyana Matrimony reserves the right to verify eligibility before processing any mandated refund.
5Cancellation Request Process
To cancel your subscription (without refund), please follow these steps:
- Log in to your account and navigate to account settings
- Select "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation; access will end at the current billing cycle
- You will receive a confirmation email
For legally mandated refund requests, include relevant legal references in your submission.
6Important Notes
- All payments are non-refundable except as required by law
- Cancellations do not retroactively refund prior payments
- Automatic renewals must be disabled manually to avoid future charges
- Verified Badge fees (₹199/-) are non-refundable under all circumstances
- Refunds, if mandated, are processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method
- Guyana Matrimony is not liable for payment gateway or bank processing delays
7Non-Refundable & Non-Cancellable Scenarios
No refunds or cancellations with refunds will be provided in the following cases:
- Voluntary cancellations after payment
- Account termination or suspension for violation of Terms & Conditions
- Expired or fully utilized subscriptions
- Fraudulent activities or multiple accounts
- Changes in user preference without legal mandate
8Billing Errors
In case of genuine billing errors, duplicate charges, or unauthorized transactions:
- Contact support immediately at support@guyanamatrimony.com with transaction details
- We will investigate within 5-7 business days
- Full refunds will be issued for confirmed errors, subject to bank policies
- No liability for third-party payment processor issues
9Changes to This Policy
Guyana Matrimony reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Updates will be posted on the Platform, and continued use constitutes acceptance. In case of business discontinuity, no refunds shall be issued unless required by law.
